Half way there!

So now I'm more than half way done with my extremely busy week! Monday I made 12 dozen cookies, yesterday I cleaned the south campus kitchen (or at least started) for 4 hours then stayed at work for an extra 2 hours to get flyers done for Biola Church Connection, then spent an hour at home bagging cookies and attaching flyers to the bags but I had Jess and Carri help with that. Then we went to Yogurtland in Fullerton, which is the most amazing place ever! They have all these frozen yogurt machines and toppings and you serve yourself and then just pay by the ounce! It was my first time there so I went overboard and ended up spending $4.00+ but I got tons of yogurt...coconut, mango, strawberry and peach...it was SOOOO good! Then we went to Target to buy table cloths for the tables this morning at Biola and...a few other things that I won't mention...let's just saw we had fun in the dressing rooms. Oh, and only with Carri and Jess can I have the kind of conversation we had basically every second we were driving...how can people live without best friends like those two?!?!

Today the Biola Connection went really well! I talked to one girl for almost an hour and it really made me think about what I love about Granada and why. My biggest things were community & teaching. She asked alot of other really good, hard questions but I'm too tired to think of them. Alot of Granadians stopped by to say hi which was fun plus I got to have lunch with Jared and ran into Carlos walking back from lunch and we talked for a long time. I forgot how much I love those guys!!

So now I'm at my dad's and have had to really let go with some of my ideal ideas for the newsletter. Time did not permit for alot of things I wanted to get in there so I had to make do with a comic and more pictures from High School Summer Camp. They're printing as we speak and then comes the oh so pleasant task of folding 75 newsletters!

But, I'm optimistic because after our Student Ministries meeting and getting the parent packets out tomorrow all I have is Burgers & Bands prep and that should be pretty simple. I'm just really delegating so I'm in my element. God's really multiplied my time it feels this week, even though I'm thoroughly exhausted at the end of every day and I was very disgruntled this morning as we started the Biola Church Connection. As I told Matt in a text message, I was hot and tired and unfriendly. But friendly faces quickly took that away (well, at least the unfriendly part) and I got around the heat and being tired.

All I know is that I'm REALLY anxious to move out now and really hope that the apartment's ready sooner rather than later. I'm also looking forward to the BBQ at Mandy's on Saturday...just a time to relax and not have to worry about getting home to go to bed on time to wake up early the next day...

Towels...

I spent over $200 on apartment stuff yesterday! At first I was paranoid that I was going to spend over $500 because I just kept thinking of more and more I needed but it all came out to a pleasent $170, then I ordered my shower curtain and it was $30! I had a slight fiasco with towels but all is well and I have keep reminding myself that for now we can do with what we are given and what we can find cheap...I can get my ideal, more quality things when we get married.

In other news, next week is going to be CRAZY busy at work. On top of regular stuff I have to finish the Sept./Oct. newsletter, create the Fall calendar, mail parent packets for our parent meeting, create flyers for our Young Adult Ministry, put together at least 60 bags of cookies with flyers for our Biola church promo, make sure we have all the stuff we need for our Biola church promo, be at Biola for 6 hours for the church promo, finalize volunteers for Burgers & Bands, go shopping for Burgers & Bands, find a babysitter for Thursday night, finalize details for Young Adults Thursday night, plus sometime soon I need to get cracking on the snack shack....ahhh....the joys of ministry!!

NEW PHONE!!!

I finally got a new phone! Sprint/Nextel is the worst service ever! Even the process of buying a whole new phone and plan from Verizon was 10 times more pleasent than simply adding a text messaging package to my Sprint phone! And I got the sweetest phone! It even recognizes songs off the radio!!!!!!!!!So now I have a phone that works so you guys can start calling & texting my cell phone again. If you don't have the number, I don't want you to have it :-p Or just ask me and I'll give it to you if I want you to have it.
